Last Saturday (Nov 24th) Leighton competed in the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, a 40k cycle race from Motuoapa to Taupo. Leighton was entered in the under 18 category, the youngest age group they had, and finished 24th out of 42 entrants.
This was Leighton’s first road cycling event.
